Mini Mountains is a class that is designed for 4-7 years old. It combines Cheerleading and gymnastics. Shooting Stars is a class designed to refine the basics of cheerleading. Kids will work on technical tumbling such as cartwheels, handstands, forward and backward rolls. This class is an intermediate class for ages 6 – 13. Created for cheerleaders who already have some cheer knowledge. In Super Novas, cheerleaders work on tumbling skills like round offs, handstand forward rolls, and backbend kick-overs. Cheerleaders will also be working on jumps such as toe-touch, pike, and double toe-touch. Stunting in this class is more advanced than the beginner class. This class introduces extensions, libs and baskets to the mix of stunts they learn.
Sun Flares is our advanced cheerleading class. This class requires cheerleading experience and is designed to be for the ages 6 – 13 years old. Sun Flares require that the following skills must be mastered: Roundoff, Cartwheel, handstand, backward and forward roll. Cheerleaders with the mastered skills will then learn backhandsprings along with more advanced tumbling skills. Cheerleaders should already know how to jump and stunt when coming to this class.
Our sideline cheer class is meant for cheerleaders who are wanting to participate in Middle School or High School level cheer teams. This class is to help them prepare for these teams. It allows a space for cheerleaders to work on tumbling skills like cartwheels, roundoffs, backhandsprings, backwalk-overs and more! Side line cheer also helps cheerleaders with learning cheers that schools use along with working on jumps. If your cheerleader is interested in doing those activities in school this class would be a great starting point! Open for the ages 6 – 13.
Tumble technique is a class that is dedicated to improving cheerleaders tumbling skills. Doesn’t matter if they start from the very beginning or need a light spot! We created this class for the kids that are always looking to tumble! Either looking to learn the basics like cartwheel, handstand, or forward roll. Or if they are looking for more advanced tumbling skills and techniques to help landing those skills everytime! Open to ages 6 – 13 years old.
As a cheer program we are trying to start a competitive cheerleading team. We would compete in the All Star category. However, Mountain Kids will not practice like a usual All Star gym. We only require two days of practice for a total of 4 hours a week. Cheerleaders do not need prior experience to join the team! All experience levels are welcome! Ages 6 – 17.
All Star cheer teams are competitive cheerleading teams that compete at cheerleading competitions around the U.S. However, we would stay local in Colorado. Teams would perform a routine that involves dance, jumps, and stunts to high paced music.

What to wear to practice:
Proper cheer attire is super crucial for practice! It helps keep everyone safe when stunting, jumping, and tumbling.
- Athletic clothing (leo with shorts is ok)
- NO jeans, skirts, or dresses!!! It is super difficult and uncomfortable to practice in clothing that is not meant for sports!
- Cheer shoes or tennis shoes with low tred/soft soles (amazon has great options)
- Hair must be tied back for practice
- NO dangling jewelry (keeping jewelry to a minimum) or long nails
